The ISO 14001:2015 Internal Auditor online course provides a systematic look into the ISO 14001:2015 standards, the specific requirements and implementation of this standard to develop a sound Environmental Management System. This course details on what is an Internal Audit and how to conduct one in a company. After completion of this course, the participant will have knowledge and understanding of internal auditing, will receive a certificate of completion and will qualify to be an ‘internal Auditor’ of ISO 14001:2015, Environmental Management System.
This ISO 14001:2015 Internal Auditor online training course is designed by the auditors who have extensive experience in implementing management system, being audited and auditing of implemented management systems as 3rd party Auditors representing Certifying body or Registrar. This course includes practical examples and exercises for better and thorough understanding of the concepts and ISO requirements.

This course covers:
- ISO 14001:2015 Environment Management Principles: the High Level Structure (HLS) and common terminology.
- Understanding the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System.
- Understanding of ISO 19011:2018, “Guidelines for Auditing Management System”.
- ISO 14001:2015 Internal Audit Program: Planning, Performing, Reporting and Nonconformity management.
- Internal Audit Planning based upon criticality and importance of the Process (e.g., environmental aspects and impacts within the organizations processes)
- Performing Internal audit utilizing Risk based thinking method.
- Performing Internal audit utilizing Process Approach method.
- Nonconformity management.
- Internal Audit to verify effectiveness of the corrective actions taken for nonconformity.
- Understanding of documented information needed to be maintained and retained.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
After the completion of this course, participants should have acquired the knowledge and understanding of the following concepts, to assess and report on the effective implementation of the EMS:
- The common framework of the ISO management system standards.
- The ISO 14001:2015 standard clause and sub-clause requirements and it’s audit.
- Understand the Plan-Do-Check-Act Cycle of EMS requirements.
- Application of process approach and risk-based thinking approach to audit the organization’s core and support processes.
- The necessary steps to plan Internal Audit Program for Environmental Management System.
- Root cause analysis and required corrective actions, closing of the nonconformities and writing effective Internal Audit reports.
- Understand the new concepts of risk management and risk evaluation techniques.
- Nonconformity management.
- Internal audit for closing of the nonconformities.
